Since its inception in 1963, Mariners Church has been a beacon of hope and transformation in the Newport Harbor community. With a mission rooted in trust and divine empowerment, Mariners has seen exponential growth not only in attendance but in spiritual depth. Recognizing the need to engage their burgeoning youth and children demographics more effectively, Mariners sought to create spaces that inspire and capture the imagination of the next generation.

Mariners Church collaborated with PlainJoe to reinvent its children’s and youth ministries, turning everyday environments into extraordinary spaces for spiritual growth and engagement. The project kicked off with a revitalization of thematic elements within these ministries. By harnessing innovative theming and spatial design, PlainJoe transformed ordinary classrooms and gathering areas into vibrant, story-rich environments that resonate deeply with young hearts and minds.

Our team meticulously developed these themed spaces to reflect the adventurous spirit of the church’s younger members while aligning with the overall mission of Mariners. The new designs were not only visually captivating but also functional, facilitating a more interactive and engaging learning experience.
