Situation

A Vision to Support Those Who Lead

After more than three decades of leading as Senior Pastor of Lives Changed By Christ and expanding its congregation from 150 to 20,000 across 19 campuses, David Ashcraft identified a need among church leaders which ignited a new mission. Inspired by the biblical principle of being an “advantage” to others and driven by the need for deeper pastoral fellowship, Ashcraft founded The Advantage—a support network created to serve senior pastors of churches throughout Pennsylvania. The vision was not to establish just another network, but to build a relationally focused model where pastors could support one another in deep and meaningful ways.

Solution

A Name and Identity That Reflect the Mission

PlainJoe partnered with The Advantage team to shape the brand from the ground up. From visual identity to brand personality, our work aimed to capture the spirit of humility, kingdom-mindedness, and collaboration. The resulting logo—a cluster of chevrons rising together—visually expresses this upward momentum and united purpose. Together, we crafted a brand that is approachable, strategic, and kingdom-focused, inspiring leaders to walk alongside one another in service and support.

Transformation

Multiplying Impact Through Community and Collaboration

Since its 2023 launch, The Advantage has welcomed pastors from 65 of Pennsylvania’s 76 largest churches into its roundtables. With its new model and brand, the collaborative is well. positioned to create meaningful impact in ministry. Each participating pastor is encouraged to invest in a cohort of 10–12 others, expanding the network’s reach to hundreds more. With PlainJoe’s support, The Advantage has introduced a full suite of engagement tools—from events and workshops to a podcast and digital resource library. The result is a growing culture of collaboration, encouragement, and shared mission, bringing strength to churches and connection to the leaders who guide them.
